Considering how regularly new versions of Firefox now come along, that's quite some bug fix list in version 10! http://t.co/K3I2vLpW 1 week ago

When N95 applications go bad

closeThis post was written 3 years 6 months 28 days days old, so is a bit old now. Feel free to read and comment on this post, just remember some things change with time and any facts in this post may not be accurate anymore.

I downloaded some games for my Nokia today. And installed them. However, I didn’t quite spot that one of them wasn’t for my phone. It installed okay but when I tried to run it, it failed. And then hung. A swift reboot of the phone sorted that.

Unfortunately, when I tried to remove the game is came up with “Removing failed”. Great.

I did a Google search and found that most people had either not found an answer or had been told to do a hard reset, losing all personal data on the phone.

Half way down a forum post, though, a suggestion was made. A suggestion which never got answered. The idea that simply reinstalling the application and then deleting it might resolve it.

And you know what? It does.
