Updates to WordPress Plugins

I’ve been busy and updates have been made to the Simple Wakoopa List and Simple TTIW List WordPress plugins!

Simple Wakoopa List

This has been upgraded to version 1.1 and includes the following changes..

  1. Performance enhancements
  2. Migration to the new Wakoopa API
  3. New feed functionality

The last change needs further explaining (although all details can be found on the plugin page). A new function has been added that returns the URL of the RSS feed for your request – this allows you to add the feed to your site as well (as demonstrated if you cast your eyes to the left of my site).

Simple TTIW List

Ok, I only released version 2 a couple of days ago and now we’re on 2.1. This was because the performance improvements I made to the Simple Wakoopa List plugin, I was able to make on this as well.

I also made an additional change in that the <LI> tags don’t appear if you request only one item to be displayed – this allows you to display your most recent addition directly in the middle of a sentence.

Again, full details can be found on the plugin’s dedicated page.

10% Discount at JoJo Maman Bébé

Two discount offers on one day? Crikey. But, for once, this is not technology related.

With my wife very much pregnant, she’s been scouting around for half-decent maternity wear, and came across JoJo Maman Bébé – their range is excellent with free postage.

To get a 10% discount, quote the code PRC91 to them or enter it into the promotional code box when “checking out” on the website. This offer expires on 31th July 2009 and can’t be used with any others.

Money off Auto FTP Manager software

For a while I’ve been looking for an automated FTP method – FileZilla is good but, well, very manual.

Auto FTP Manager, by Deskshare, however, is different. To quote them…

Auto FTP Manager makes it easy to schedule and automate your file transfers. Use Auto FTP Manager to connect to any FTP server and automatically upload and download files or synchronize directories.

You can download a free trial and then, if you’re happy with the result, there’s (as close as damn it) 25% off the asking price. Normally retailing at £39.99 (about £28), you can get it for £29.99 (about £21) by using the code CPN-AFM-UPG10. This code is active until 31st March 2009.
