Becoming Dephormed

I think we’ve all heard about the public outcry over Phorm and its dubious privacy issues. Well, hot on the heals of Amazon (and it’s not often I get to say that), I am happy to announce that Artiss.co.uk has opted out of being scanned by Phorm. That means if your ISP is using Phorm then visits to this site will not be included in any Phorm analysis.

Personally, I’ll only be happy once Phorm is an opt-in service only1.

If you’d like to opt your own site out of Phorm scanning then there’s a page on the BT Webwise (their name for Phorm – strange how I couldn’t find a similar link on the Phorm site) site with the details.

  1. not that my ISP is using Phorm []
