Post Setting z-index of iframe for window mode

Ok so I've found that every wmode except for "Window Mode" gives a choppy playback whether I have the video embedded in a popup or just on a single post page. The problem using Window Mode is that it layers itself on top of everything on the page so it's hiding my drop down menus and overlapping the entire menu bar on page scroll. I tried setting the z-index of both the iframe and the menu but that doesn't change anything. I guess my first question is what might be causing the choppy playback for transparent/opaque mode on a single page and secondly how I can keep window mode from layering itself on top of everything?

These are all Flash settings - Window is the default and leaves Flash to "sort itself out" (as you can see - badly). Apparently Opaque is the one that should cause less system strain (other than Window). Transparent causes the choppiness because, as the name suggests, it's trying to display the video transparently.

Ughh yeah Opaque has the same choppines in playback so does that mean there's no way around it since I have to use Window Mode? There's no trick to make the Window mode layer?
