Considering how regularly new versions of Firefox now come along, that's quite some bug fix list in version 10! http://t.co/K3I2vLpW 1 week ago

New WordPress Plugin: Simple Content Reveal

I am pleased to announce that my latest, and 20th, WordPress plugin is Simple Content Reveal.

Simple Content Reveal allows you to easily hide and reveal WordPress content, whether it be in the sidebar or in a post or page.

To see it in action, cast your eyes to the sidebar on the right where various sections are hidden by default. Click on their heading to reveal them!

And, at the bottom of each post, comments are shown by default (but can be clicked on to hide them), whereas pingbacks and trackbacks are hidden.

I’m particularly proud of this plugin because of how well it works without relying on complex JavaScript.

As always, if you have any queries add a comment to my blog and I’ll do my best to answer it.

Plugin updates – YouTube Embed & Simple PayPal Donate

After some time off, plugin development has restarted.

Two plugins have been modified, and both are relatively small changes. YouTube Embed has had its demonstration video fixed and Simple PayPal Donate now validates with XHTML Strict. In  both cases (and for upcoming plugin changes) I’ve also added some commenting to the resulting XHTML so that it’s easy to find the code in the source.

More changes to come…

New WordPress Plugin – Simple Timed Content

Fancy making page or post content appear and/or disappear at set times and dates? Well, this plugin is the way to do it – it’s compact, easy-to-use and XHTML compatible.

If you’re only interested in making content expire and only by date then an alternative solution was discussed last week in a post.

Download from the WordPress Plugin site or read more on the official page on this site.
